2017 Evanston Rodeo Series

Name: 2017 Evanston Rodeo Series
Date: June 30, 2017 - July 1, 2017
Event Description:
The Evanston Rodeo Series prides itself on offering the classics events rodeo fans know and love, and when one event ends, we move right into another. Most performances begin with Junior Steer Riding for future Bull-Riders. Jr. Steer Riding is open to competitors age 10 to 14.
Next, you'll probably be treated to Tie Down Roping, and a section of Bareback Riding could very well follow. Right around that stage of the nightly rodeo, the first of a pair of Clown Acts will have you laughing, which could give way to Lady's Breakaway Roping, sort of similar to the Tie Down Roping, but a little less involved, but no less exciting!
Our Junior competitors will take a stab at Breakaway following their more experienced counterparts.
An audience participation feature is one we're famous for, and it will take place around the middle of the rodeo.

The Chicken Chase for kids in three age groups, 5 and under, 6 to 7 and 8 and 9 year-olds is a riot! The kids have a blast trying to catch the elusive chickens inside the arena, to to win pizes, while cheered on by the crowd. You have to see it to really appreciate it, but you will!
After that break for fun, it's back to business with the #10 Team Roping, with another section a bit later. Saddle Bronc Riding would probably be right around the corner.

The second Clown Act would likely be staged about this point, right before the arena is cleared and smoothed out for a crowd-pleaser our top-notch announcers like to refer to as "Beautiful
Women on Fast Horses," and they know what they're talking about when it comes to the precision of our female contestants running a clover-leaf pattern around three barrels before sprinting for the finish line in the timed event of Lady's Barrel-Racing. Usually, a junior divison of Barrel-Racers then takes center stage.

#13 Team-Roping, the second division of that event, with the header and the heeler counting on each other will lead right into the special "Terminator Steer," allowing the highest score from the our Junior Steer Riding to really be tested on a big, bad steer for a big cash prize.
You can just about guess what comes next, right? We end the night in climaxing fashion with Bull-Riding, which works the crowd up into a frenzy, thrilled at the dangerous nature of this rodeo staple.
Now, that's just a sampling from one performance last year. We may have two sections of bull-riding for instance, but one thing is for certain -- no two rides will be the same, just like every performance as a whole, will be unique. That's one of the beauties of Rodeo!
