Evanston’s Beer, Brat and Bluegrass Festival is a free outdoor concert at beautiful and historic Depot Square in Downtown Evanston, on Saturday, June 21st from noon to 10pm. The festival hosts five bands of varying musical styles from traditional and progressive bluegrass to newgrass. This year’s line up features Terry Hill & Co., Lab Dogs, Cedar Breaks Bluegrass Band, Unstrung, and the Jalan Crossland Band.
 
This fundraiser for Bluegrass Evanston's global and local educational initiative offers a variety of events for everyone in the family. On Friday, June 20th, come for the free open mic (5pm - 10pm) and Home Brew Contest where local brewer’s will share their handcrafted beer from (5pm-7pm) Visit the website for details. On Saturday during the main festival from noon until 3pm, bring your kids to the Pop, Dogs and Songs KidsFest for fun crafts and games.
 
Artist’s, from jewelry makers and photographers to basket weavers and painters, will be selling their wares. And, of course, there will be food booths to satisfy every taste and a beer garden serving handcrafted microbrews and domestic beers throughout the day.
