Event Description:
Uinta County Concert Series presents Johnny Cash Tribute Show
"Walk The Line" came out, Bennie was drawn to the story and music of the Legendary Johnny Cash. Then, after touring Sun Records (Memphis, TN) in the Summer of 2006,  he vowed to learn how to play the guitar and give his best attempt as a Johnny Cash Tribute Artist. Bennie realized that his vocal registry had an uncanny likeness to Johnny Cash in every way...even his normal speaking voice. And even from the first moment Bennie hit the stage as "Johnny Cash", it was perfectly clear how natural his tribute to The Man in Black came to him.
Bennie is proud to have his actual wife, RENEE' WHEELS, performing as "June Carter" in his act. Renee' looks and sounds incredibly like June, herself. And Bennie & Renee' share the same kind of love and chemistry that the Legendary Duo of Johnny & June had together onstage. Their act is second-nature to them...the closest and most authentic illusion to the real thing that anyone will ever witness.

DAVE ERVIN--Guitar
Originally from San Diego, CA, Dave Ervin is practically a life-long musician, playing everything from Christian Praise to Classic Rock. He has also worked with various cover projects, consisting of pop and light rock. He has taken his talents throughout California and Utah. Currently, Dave resides in Coppell, TX. He is the director of the praise team at his Church, lead guitar for Dallas based Celtic group, "Brothers 3", and recently in 2007, has joined “Walkin’ The Line”, taking on the tribute to the “Boom-Chicka-Boom” style of Luther Perkins.

FRANCHOT JOHNSTON--Bass
From Rockabilly to Western Swing to Blues, Franchot Johnston has been playing Doghouse Standup Bass the old fashioned way…slappin’ gut strings ‘til his hands bleed! Franchot has torn up the Texas Rockabilly scene for many years, performing covers and originals with many local and touring Artists. Franchot not only contributes the awesome visual effect of the stand-up bass, but also the talent and natural charisma to serve justice to his tribute to Marshall Grant.

MARTIN MCCALL--Drums
Martin McCall has been fortunate to perform with many greats in the music field, such as:  Larry Coryell (World-renowned guitarist), Mark O'Connor (Three-time National fiddle and mandolin champion and member of the famed "Dixie Dreggs"), Patrice Pike ("Little Sister"), Chuck Rainey ("Steely Dan"), and Brad Houser ("Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians").  Martin was also drummer for Jerry LaCroix, who wrote and performed on Edgar Winter's "White Trash" album, and was also a member of the "Blood, Sweat & Tears" horn section.  Martin brings a multitude of versatility and experience to the table, and "Walkin' The Line" is proud to have him aboard.  With his acute attention to detail, Martin McCall easily does justice to his tribute to W.S. Holland.
